Visit Macie and Me - WestwoodPlayscape – (Our Classroom)
Each week you and your child will arrive into a new playscape for you to explore and enjoy. Share in the magic of discovery as you watch your child learn in front of your eyes. Your time shared with us will offer you numerous opportunities to participate in unique hands-on-activities and novel learning situations alongside your child that are guaranteed to challenge her emerging skills and delight you both. By being your child’s play pal you are able to extend her play to new levels of understanding which will result in cognitive growth. Weekly themes are presented in ways that we promise will expand your imagination. You’ll paint with kitchen gadgets; shape animals out of play dough, sing with puppets and dance with stars. As you participate with your child, you’ll find that the child within you will begin to emerge. Through this process you will experience one of the great pleasures of parenting-watching your child learn and grow!
Class Duration
The length of our classes varies according to age.
- For 6 to 12 months: 1 hour
- For 13 to 17 months: 1 1/4 hour
- Over 18 months: 1 1/2 hour
Sibling Classes
Sibling classes are designed for parents of more than one child under the age of five. We will enhance the uniqueness of the sibling relationship through cooperative activities and group games. Materials and activities will be designed to challenge the developmental abilities of the various ages. Learning will occur for the children through the opportunity to observe positive role models. This is a great opportunity to develop relationships with other families with children the same age as yours.
Your Playmates: The Marcie And Me Play Program Community
Because most (80% re-enrollment rate) of our children stay in the MarcieAndMe program for all of their pre-preschool years, you will have the opportunity to become part of the MarcieAndMe community. As you grow to know your playmates, you will take enjoyment in watching other children grow as well as your own. Relationships that you establish in class will most likely last well beyond your child’s graduation. Many of our graduates go on to attend preschool with one of their MarcieAndMe playpals. This offers children a sense of security as they take their first steps towards independence.
Playful Celebrations (Birthday Parties)
Enjoy a thematic party as you share the wonderful celebration of your child’s birthday with your friends. Our parties will follow the same format as a MarcieAndMe class and will allow your child to feel comfortable on this exciting day. We’ll add in a few surprises that are guaranteed to make him or her feel special and celebrated. Themes will parallel the weekly class themes so no two Parties will be a like. You supply the food; we’ll supply the fun!
